In April 2022, Jon DeVore participated in the Native Hawaiian Organization Association Business Summit. The event brought over 200 Native Hawaiian Organizations, small businesses, government representatives and large businesses together to discuss the opportunities for small businesses to engage in contracting and procurement with the Federal Government.
Jon was selected as a presenter on the topic of the Federal Performance Rating System and Past Performance Ratings impacts on awards of federal contracts. He also participated in a “Fireside” chat with other attorneys to discuss the good, the bad and the ugly about teaming arrangements and compliance with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Mentor Protégé Program and Joint Venture regulations. Small businesses owned by NHO’s have a unique role and participation in the Federal Procurement System.
Jon has represented and works with several NHO-owned businesses and companies that do business with them especially but not limited to work in Hawaii. The SBA District includes Hawaii, Guam, the U.S. Marshall Islands and other Pacific areas.
