Biography
Hannah G. Clancy’s primary practice is in the firm’s municipal practice group, where she works closely with elected officials, municipal staff, and boards to develop legally sound and effective solutions to advance public objectives. She also facilitates commercial transactions and is a strong advocate for both private and municipal clients involved in civil litigation.
While obtaining her juris doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law, Hannah gained invaluable legal experience working for the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming, the University of Wyoming Civil Legal Services Clinic, the University of Wyoming Rural Law Center, Hirst Applegate, LLP, and The Spence Law Firm. She also served on the editorial board of the Wyoming Law Review. Upon graduating, Hannah received the University of Wyoming Outstanding Law Student award bestowed by the National Association of Women Lawyers. Prior to joining Birch Horton Bittner & Cherot, Hannah’s practice in Alaska focused on insurance defense, commercial real estate, business formation, employment law, and healthcare.
Hannah was raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where her parents nurtured her love of the outdoors and her competitive spirit. She earned her undergraduate degree from Rocky Mountain College where she graduated summa cum laude with a major in History and Political Science, and minors in Economics and Pre-Law. She alpine ski raced for the Rocky Mountain College ski team throughout college and when they won the national title in 2018.
