Biography

Arina Filippenko joined the firm’s Anchorage office in 2024, bringing her extensive background in regulatory oversight and complex financial investigations to her administrative, civil, and criminal law practice. Arina’s work focuses on litigation, corporate matters, municipal law, election law, local and federal tax law, and criminal defense.

Before joining the firm, Arina served as a Financial Examiner with the State of Alaska, Division of Banking and Securities. In this multi-disciplinary role, she managed securities registration issues, conducted regulatory audits of registered investment advisers, broker dealers, and other financial institutions, and led complex enforcement investigations involving securities fraud, unregistered financial advising, consumer finance, precious metals, and cryptocurrency.

Arina attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude. Following law school, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Peter R. Ramgren on the Anchorage Superior Court. As a lifelong Alaskan, Arina is a proud graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage and West Anchorage High School.

In her free time, Arina enjoys film photography, cooking, and learning foreign languages.
