Practice Areas
Ms. Cherot focuses her practice on real estate and commercial transactions. She has represented private and public entities in negotiating and structuring a large number of sophisticated real estate transactions, including the representation of two public housing authorities in low income housing tax credit projects. Other representative transactions include the purchases and financings of shopping centers, mobile home parks, residential subdivisions and commercial buildings. She has also represented businesses in the purchases and sales of stock and assets, including the recent purchases of several retail and wholesale businesses. In connection with these transactions, she formed and organized the corporation or limited liability company that own and develop the real estate. Ms. Cherot served as managing shareholder of the firm for more than ten years, and continues to be a member of the board of directors.

Representative Matters
- Represented the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority in its acquisition from Suneel Alaska Corporation of a 49% interest in a coal load-out facility in Seward, Alaska.
- General counsel to Seward Association for the Advancement of Marine Science, an Alaska nonprofit corporation, responsible for the financing, construction and operation of the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, Alaska.
- Represented Hickel Investment Company, Cook Inlet Housing Authority and several Alaska real estate developers of commercial buildings and residential subdivisions.
- Represented purchasers of four mobile home parks and developers of two medical buildings in Anchorage.
- Negotiated and drafted property purchase agreements, joint venture agreements and financing documents for the acquisition of large parcels of property from a bankrupt estate.
- Represented Cook Inlet Housing Authority in the financing of low income housing tax credit projects.
- Represented Cook Inlet Housing Authority in the purchase of residential properties and a commercial building.
