BHBC’s attorneys represent independent local exchange carriers, competitive interexchange carriers, state rulemaking commissions and internet service providers. Areas of practice include common carrier, wireless, rulemaking and licensing cases before the Regulatory Commission of Alaska and the Federal Communications Commission. BHBC’s Washington, D.C., office has extensive experience practicing before numerous state public utility commissions, the FCC and various federal courts in telecommunications litigation.

Our attorneys have in-depth experience with the rules and procedures governing transfers of control of certificated carriers, assignments of certificates and other instruments of authorization, name changes, universal service contributions and annual reporting, and other filing requirements imposed by state telecommunications regulators. Among other things, we represent clients in tariff, ratemaking certification and rulemaking proceedings, and our telecommunications attorneys have assisted clients in state and federal appellate litigation arising from administrative proceedings.
